St.Gallen, 26 August 2011 - Helvetia will be a FIS partner from the 2011/2012 winter season and is to sponsor the FIS Cross-Country World Cup. Cross-country skiing competitions have been held since 1981 with four disciplines each for men and women. The Tour de Ski is part of this World Cup. Helvetia will be present at a total of 76 races in eleven countries from next season. The competitions will enhance the brand's media presence and provide an opportunity to welcome guests.

Since 2006, Helvetia Schweiz has been a Swiss-Ski partner. Helvetia attaches importance to long-term relationships – with its partners and customers alike. Reliability is a central feature of the Helvetia brand. In Switzerland, the involvement with Swiss skiing has increased brand awareness and raised the company's profile as a Swiss quality brand. Through its future involvement in the FIS Cross-Country World Cup, Helvetia is extending this successful partnership to its other country markets.

Stefan Loacker, CEO of the Helvetia Group, is delighted: "The increased TV presence of our country markets will make viewers more familiar with the Helvetia brand. We are proud that Olympic gold medallist Dario Cologna, one of the favourites, will be wearing our logo in the competition."
